Oh, cool. Everything’s better with podcasting. But, being a good little Apple corporate clone, can I access this through iTunes, instead of Odeo? »

But, being a good little Apple corporate clone, can I access this through iTunes, instead of Odeo? Odeo lovingly hosts it, but you can…
That ought to do it for you »

Oh jesus. My friends are going to disown me. This is awesome. I’ve been finding that the bubble list idea you linked to a few days ago automatically gets me thinking about rewards instead of obligations, to-have-done style. I’m pretty into it. »

That was really nice. Thanks, homeboy. Things I liked: 1) no cheeeeezy music at the start and end 2) the brevity is supercooled, we don’t want to sit listening for 45m to some guy telling us how not to waste time, 3) the fact that it seemed like you did it all in one take (i.e. no cuts), and 4) that it 4a) sounded like you weren’t just reading a script, and 4b) that you didn’t go all crazy and stream-of-conciousness on our asses, seems like you had some bullet points on an index card in front of you and stuck to them. I think I vote for (and I’m choosing the two choices too, sorry) frequent, short podcasts that serve to poke us into action when we are doing nothing rather than more infrequent MASSIVE podcasts covering the ins and outs of to-do list meta-analysis. »

I like the short format. My podcasts are sorted in ascending duration. May I suggest using a pop filter to reduce the mike popping from the plosive sounds (“b”, “p”.) If you hold your hand up in front of your face at mike distance and can feel the air move from those consonants, the mike will pick them up. Here’s one that will work great for $30: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PS6/ »

I called it: “Things You Don’t Want to Have to Deal With Tomorrow” It didn’t feel like a negative. It felt like “Hey, if I just bite the bullet a bit I won’t have to…deal with it… again tomorrow morning.” »

There should be more short potcasts like this one. Most podcasters see their work as a magazine which everybody wants to read from the first page to the last. But this is the internet, and people do not read on the Internet, they rather browse. I don’t want to listen one hour to the same guy, I want short snippets of audio telling me exactly that bit that interests me. I sincerely hope more people will follow your example. »

I loved this - both format and content. The to-have-done list is so obvious, and yet I’d never though of it before. The carrot, not the whip! Excellent. »

Euphonious! I concur with the comments above regarding brevity (short is good) and focus (you sounded nicely prepared and it comes through in quality). A very good model for me to follow as I think about my own future podcasting. (One note for others & my future self: it’s under 3 minutes. Just close your eyes, take your hands off the keyboard and listen. Trying to absorb the contents of a podcast while reading email, etc. makes you bad at both tasks. Besides, it’s good to take a break from typing.) »
