I don’t know if this is what GTD prescribes, but I don’t put anything in my “wait for” list except for things that are relatively unimportant, that have no real deadline, and that I’m reasonably confident will happen. For example, I make a note there when I submit a rebate. Anything that might not happen [on time] and requires action if it doesn’t, goes in my tickler file.
