I have handwriting which is both appalling and small. Even I find it unreadable unless it has been written in a very fine pen or pencil. My absolute favourite for this is the Pilot G-Tec C4, which Pilot claim is “the world’s finest rollerball pen”. It’s a few millimetres finer than even the G2, but writes just as smoothly. It’s slightly more expensive and sufffers from the same problem of short lifespan, but I can’t use anything else. I highly recommend giving it a try if you’re a fan of the G2 (or otherwise fetishize writing implements).

For some reason it’s not listed on any of the Pilot websites, but Froogle knows all about. Offline it’s hard to come by. I’ve seen it in three shops in the UK and I always pick a couple up whenever I’m passing through. I’m moving to Australia in the new year and G-Tec C4s will take up most of my luggage allowance.
