I am a great fan of the Moleskines, but lately I discovered the Milquelrius notebooks described in this Moleskinerie thread: http://www.moleskinerie.com/2004/06/miquelrius.html

This week I was getting a new notebook, and almost went back to a Moleskine squared, but in the end I went with another Miquelrius. Smaller, lighter gridlines are right up my alley, plus more pages for fewer dollars. The Moleskine clearly has the superior binding, but I couldn’t justify the price difference on that basis.
