I think that’s a great idea, Alexander, for sure.
But like any topic on the wiki, I think it benefits from something like a bottom up approach; build the big “About Ubuntu linux” page first, then we’ll figure out where it goes in the context of the overall site.
That one-page, stone soup approach seems like the healthiest way to encourage contribution to your barn-within-the-barn, plus it keeps us from having a lot of stubs that are hard to see in context.
