Great post, and very timely...

Great post, and very timely for me - my to-do lists needed a good, solid review. It’s amazing how much more clear-headed I feel having done that.

The most interesting thing to me was your suggestion to plan a task that will take more than ten minutes. For the most part, every item on my to-do list truly represented a next action, but many were items that would take significantly longer to achieve than 10 minutes. Not only did I resist doing these until I had a large enough chunk of time available, but even with the time available, I resisted doing them just because they were so large.

I’ve since broken several action items down into even smaller tasks, and I’m amazed at how much I’ve accomplished as a result.
