Brainscan, I think David Allen does give you the roadmap to decide what needs to be done first. First is by context, next is by energy - this is a very important step that should not be ignored, when you have high energy hit up the big tasks but sometimes you don’t have the energy to do the big task so you start with the little easy tasks then build momentum to attack the larger more tedious tasks.
