GotFriday (and writing to myself)
I’ll plead to being one of those people who sucks at delegating.
So, I really liked Tim’s idea of trying to get better at it while the stakes are low. I finally got off the waiting list at GetFriday last week and have started “training” myself with a VA there. Only one task sent and completed so far, but it seems mostly promising.
Another thing, R — both your and Ethan’s article kinda reminded me of an old post, “Solve problems by writing a note to yourself.” A lot of people laugh at that idea, but there’s just something about writing (vs. just ruminating) that forces a certain kind of thinking. More critical maybe? Often, by the time I’m done asking for help, I’ve pretty much figured out what I need all by myself. Love that.
