I think you can ask...

I think you can ask people about their trusted systems till the cows come home - and get some great tips and advice as a result - but the only way to establish a trusted system for yourself is to work on it. I have been implementing GTD for a few weeks now, although I would count this week as my first week 'in production' with my system.

In that time, I have been trying to sort out how the process works. One thing I have found that helps is to write down instructions for everything that I need to do. I have some very nice, coloured instructions on my wall: one for my daily and weekly reviews, and another outlining the GTD processing system. Every time I work through them, if something does not feel natural or makes me feel anxious, I try to work out why and change the instructions to suit.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
