NEWBIE SETTING UP

Hi All,

I’m in the process of setting up my GTD system (using OmniFocus, iCal etc to do so), and am having some difficulty reconciling my current calendar system with the system I’ll have under GTD. I’m specifically getting ready to sync omnifocus with ical.

At present I have several calendars in iCal - they’re named after areas of my life (broad commitments or responsibilities), and include all of the projects & tasks I’ve got underway for each area.

Unfortunately, these calendars don’t correspond with the contexts I’ve set up!  read more »

mutt functionality on apple mail

hi:

I used mutt for a long time and now i am testing apple mail. One killer featurein mutt is the ability to use different emails addressed depending on the person you are writing. this can be setup so that if i email peter i always use this address and another person another.

currently i was using gmail but since it doesnt support this feature and i have multiple accounts i have to be constantly choosing email accounts manually and it is quite unefficient.

David Allen Interviewed

Hey Everyone - I hope this is not spamlicious, but I figured you all would love to hear David talk about GTD. We recently interviewed him on the Precision Change Podcast, a show on personal development. Part 1 aired today, and we have two more episodes coming. Let us know what you think, and if there is another, more appropriate place to mention this, or other places to mention, please let me know:)

Thanks! Ryan Oelke www.ryanoelke.com

GTD and Personal Life

Would anyone be willing to share if they’ve implemented GTD in their personal life and how successful it has been getting household members, etc. to use the system? I.E. drop notes, mail, etc. in your home inbox.

Thanks!

Add on domains in A2hosting, and Dreamweaver

I signed up for A2 hosting using the 43folders coupon (I hope someone was able to have lunch on the commission;), and am wanting to set up an add on domain. This is where my first domain is:

/public_html/ = domain1.com

and

/public_html/domain2/ = domain2.com

i.e., both in the same file structure, but they appear as two separate domains.

I use Dreamweaver and already have domain1.com’s site root set to:

/public_html/

where

/public_html/index.htm  read more »
