Merlin really makes me laugh during those Mac Break Weekly podcasts, it makes me feel proud to be a 40 year old NPR-listening 2-daughter-having mac-groking software-developing tufte-esque music-obsessed micro-multi-tasking sailboat-racing productivity-oriented social-networking meta-meta kind of person.

Hello and glad to be poking around!

New here... introduction

Hi. I just discovered you folks and will post my first question in a minute. I’m a math professor and a knitter. I can see that you’ll be providing me with the opportunity to procrastinate by reading about ways to avoid procrastination.

Looking forward to exploring.

Finding advice on presentations

I’ve been reading all of Merlin’s posts on giving presentations, and I recently bought Presentation Zen and Beyond Bullet Points.

I have a few questions I’d like to post to the forum here in the hopes that others who follow these methods can answer. But I’m unsure of which forum to post in. What do you think?

Thanks, Chris

Looking to get the "achiever" me back.

Hi 43F! I’m Marie and I don’t know why exactly it’s called “43” Folders. I’m going through David Allen’s book right now. Just bought a bunch of folders and am still wondering where I could get a good deal on a desktop labeler. I’ll try again tomorrow. I’m known to be very proactive and achiever type, being a former national student leader and all but it seems for the past year or so since taking my CPA boards (or getting a boyfriend?) I haven’t been organized with my goals or my life. I can’t seem to get anything concrete done. So I hope GTD will help me get somewhere. I’ll try.  read more »

Hidy-ho.

‘Bout time I tossed my name in the ring. 43folders / The Mann Emporium has been a lifesaver for me countless times, and I’ve done what I can to spread its gospel. Glad to be here.

College Student From Wisconsin

Hey everyone I am a student at Milwaukee school of engineering and a intern at a pretty large company called Direct Supply. I use GTD all the time.

I originally learned it from the “Four hour work week” and used it. I then learned that there was a internet sensation on it and I am brushing back up on it.

Know what I would really like? GTD for profit. Not just to work more. Especially since right now i work from 8am to midnight everynight :S.
