TypeIt4Me - In love but in trouble

TypeIt4Me has come up a few times on Merlin's pages and since there is no board of good citizens over at their site to answer this question maybe somebody here has figured this out.

I am in Tiger and using TypeIt4Me 2.3. And I not only love it, I have come to think of it as essential. Like air.

That said, up on the bar TypeIt4Me is in the same place as the keyboard input American flag. You select TypeIt to get it going. In my case, it flips - seemingly at random - back to the American flag all day.

According to the FAQ on their site, this should not happen in this version and with this OS but it does. My partner also just lives with this so I know I am not alone. He claims over time it "learns" not to do this. I am a month in Ive seen no sign the promgram is learning anything.

It seems to be more common with certain text snippets than others. There are a few I use that seem to always flip me back to keyboard mode. But in the end I can't determine the real pattern.

Anyone else know of this problem and have an idea what causes it?

Thanks
