I'm writing from Beijing, and...

I'm writing from Beijing, and I am sorry to infom you that 43 folders is, unlike Wikipedia, not banned right now. I think it was for a short period some time ago, though, and yes, RSS feeds are realy convenient for banned blogs (everything on blogspot, for a start).

Therefore, you have no excuse not to make your podcast available in chinese characters etched on a series of jade figures by 100-year old mute taoist monks. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

(In the "praise of the new website" category, I'd like to mention that as I type these comments, a ghost image of the "Geek shwag" and amazon images (no text) keep flickering on top of the comment box (It only appears for a very brief instant for each keystroke) - it probably has something to do with the "instant preview" feature - mildly annoying. I'm using Firefox on a Debian machine).

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
