Get yourself a new phone...

Get yourself a new phone already! The really horrible stuff never dies! It's like the algae eaters a fish tank that outlast four or five tanks worth of the pretty fish you like to watch. Two years is long enough, that phone owes you nothing at this point.

One thing that I've done is to put aside a dollar a day to save up for absolutely guilt free out of budget spending. I don't put physical dollars in an envelope, but keep track of it on the calendar. Those cool shoes I can't justify buying - I'll have them in three months if I don't buy anything else. Keeps your wants in line, and keeps you from feeling deprived.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
