memorabilia

My wife and I need to file and store the various items that come into our life through our kids that we want to save such as class photos, report cards, drawings, papers, etc. Anyone have a good system for that sort of thing?

LOL! There's an age difference for you. My elementary-school report cards are written by hand.

I do want to point out that as you get older and as your kids grow up, some of the "stuff" becomes more and more precious. As I excavate my childhood I really wish my parents had kept more miscellaneous pieces of paper--they're carriers of clues to my experience and influences that I'd like to review now (late 40s).

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
