Bookmarks

Does anyone know of a website where I can store my bookmarks and then access them easily from the office or a friends house?

Thanks.

I've recently started using the "Foxmarks" extension for Firefox. Although its primary purpose is to keep your bookmarks automagically synced across multiple computers they also offer online access to your bookmarks.

The fact that one of the programmers is a founding member of the EFF leads me to believe that they will respect my privacy with the copy of my bookmarks on their server. Note that they currently don't have a written privacy policy as they are "busy improving the extension" so Caveat Emptor.

Other than this I just export my bookmarks to an HTML file as a for backup and carry a copy around on my USB Flash Drive.

I should add that I am currently using Foxmarks on my Powerbook (OS X 10.3.9) with Firefox 1.5.01, and it automatically syncs with my home media/file server (WinXP Pro) and another laptop (WInXP Home.) So like most truly great software it works across platforms.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
