WordPress 2 any good?

I noticed that Merlin has been working on upgrading the 43f site to Word Press 2. I've been holding off on the upgrade for my site until I hear that version 2 is really stable etc, or at least see a 2.1 release. Has anyone tried WP 2? Merlin, if you're reading this, how has your changeover experience been? -- Sarah 7 Comments

Hi, I did the WordPress 2 upgrade now there's a 2.0.1 version (I let others deal with the first wave of bugs hehehe). It went more smoothly than I'd expected. The only problems were the RSS feed was only showing comments, not content (but there was a ticket that showed how to fix this), and the annoyance of trying to combine Markdown with the new GUI editor. The editor can be toned down to "just a text box, file upload box and preview box" using a well hidden checkbox at the bottom of your user profile to say you prefer just text thanks. Anyway, I'm considering that upgrade to have been a success now that's all sorted out. » POSTED IN:
