The recent volume of email, calls, and IMs about a single issue makes me think it’s time to state something publicly and explicitly: 43 Things is not related to 43 Folders in any way. Full stop.

This Salon article is not about my site; it is about an unrelated web site called 43 Things.

I’m very sorry about the confusion that their naming decision continues to cause people; one hopes that a more formal relationship with Amazon might also provide an opportunity to generate some fresh thinking about their branding options.
