”What’s 43 Folders?”
43Folders.com is Merlin Mann’s website about finding the time and attention to do your best creative work.

43 Folders Text Ads now available

AdBrite (43 Folders Text Ads)

Just a little administrative note. I've had a lot (a lot) of requests from folks wanting to place text ads for their company on 43 Folders, so I'm giving AdBrite a spin. Hop over to their site to get more information or place your own ad.

Note that the prices are set automagically by the Massively Intelligent Pud-Powered Adbrite Robots and will apparently vary and adjust based on demand for the three (3) available slots over there in Mr. Sidebar. Assuming there's demand. :)

I'm going to try this on for at least a couple weeks, but I'm by no means married to it. So step lively if you've been dying to get the word out here. FWIW, at the current rate, the one-week placement comes to about a $2.40 CPM (that's estimated of course -- this stuff is not a hard science).

Plus, as ever, if you're more in the market for the big blown-out graphical units, you'd do well to contact Federated Media, the Battelleriffic team that's been helping me with all manner of ad stuff for the last few months. They rule.

And finally, if you've been thinking about trying AdBrite on for yourself, if you sign up here, your author will get a spiff for the referral. Which is nice.

Thanks, friends, for indulging this lucre-based interruption to your regularly scheduled programming.

Bio

Merlin Mann is an independent writer, speaker, and broadcaster. He’s best known for being the guy who created the website you’re reading right now. He lives in San Francisco, does lots of public speaking, and helps make cool things like You Look Nice Today, Back to Work, and Kung Fu Grippe. Also? He’s writing this book, he lives with this face, he suffers from this hair, he answers these questions, and he’s had this life. So far.

Merlin’s favorite thing he’s written in the past few years is an essay entitled, “Cranking.”

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
