Tara Denson Sloan has served in ministry for more than three decades. At the age of four Tara tagged along for several years as both observer and participant in her family’s travelling music group, “The Happy Christians.” With a rich heritage in ministry, Tara accepted the call of God and followed in the footsteps of her father, uncles, and several male cousins by becoming an ordained, licensed minister, the first woman in her family. Upon completion of her formal education at Destiny Bible College Tara became an ordained, licensed minister. She and her husband Craig of 16 years (also an ordained, licensed minister) have partnered in ministry together as children’s pastors, evangelists, outreach coordinators, associate pastors, co-pastors and church planters. In addition, Tara has ministered as a Missions director, Women’s Ministries Pastor, Sunday school teacher, Worship/Fine Arts Pastor, and Administrative Pastor. Through powerful, anointed preaching and teaching, Tara speaks to what God has deposited into the lives of both Christians and the lost. An encourager by nature, she also operates through prophetic exhortation. Her heart is that people awaken their potential, discover their possibility, and become their destiny in Christ! Tara is a firm believer that everyone needs someone in their corner speaking the Word of the Lord over their lives reminding them who they are and where they are going! As an accomplished writer, speaker and minister Tara has ministered nationally. She is the author of three books, “Becoming Destiny Driven,” “Destiny Driven: A Guide to Outreach Through Women’s Ministry,” and “Confessions of a Destiny a Driven Diva”, two full length dramatic productions, and many articles, short stories and poems. Tara also ministers online through a blog, (http://tarasloan.blogspot.com) and is the co-founder of Equal Time (www.equaltimeforwomen.com). Tara and her husband Craig are a dynamic power couple for Christ driven to impact both the Kingdom of God and darkness! The Sloan’s are passionate about the call of God on their lives and desire to be fulfilled in their God ordained destiny. As partners in ministry, the Sloan’s enjoy tag team preaching, strategizing, and flowing as a modern day Priscilla and Aquilla. As spiritual parents, they also mentor many men and women who feel called to ministry, especially couples who desire to partner in ministry together. The Sloan’s currently reside in Chicago, IL where they minister in the areas of Assimilation and Outreach at Evangel World Outreach Center. Craig and Tara are the blessed parents of five beautiful daughters (Kaitlyn(15), Kelsea (13), Haley (10), Alexandria (5), and Isabella (1) who are talented, anointed vessels walking out their destiny in Christ.
