W-R-I-T-I-N-G

First come disorder
then come GTD
then comes order in the index cards.

OK, I know it doesn't rhyme, but it is the thought that counts.

I've always been leery of...

I've always been leery of notebooks with proprietary pages that you have to buy from the same vendor or a specialized stationery or office supply store. I used a Franklin Planner for a couple years and loved it, but I eventually got tired of making special trips to buy refills. Are the pages for this notebook a common size that you could buy, say, at a convenience store like Walgreen's? That's why I always come back to simple things like index cards, because you can buy them anywhere.

nothing proprietary about it. you can...

nothing proprietary about it.

you can buy a rollabind puncher for a few bucks and put your own paper in there or buy from a billion people that sell rollabind paper.

you don't have to buy from levenger, though i don't think they're in any danger of being extinct anytime soon.

Good to know, I didn't...

Good to know, I didn't realize that was a standard paper size that's widely available. I really like the way you can completely flip over the cover of that notebook for writing. Even though the Moleskine lays nice and flat, it doesn't help much for writing on your lap. All notebooks seem especially unkind to lefties, but this one at least might help keep some of the ink off the side of the hand.

Perhaps you are confusing expensive with long-lasting and high-quality :)

I can't believe I broke...

I can't believe I broke down and spent $99 on the Junior Notebook, the divider pages, and some refills. I have been filling the Levenger shopping cart and abandoning it for months now, but I finally pulled the trigger.

I was back and forth between the simple fold-back notebook versus the zipper folio, but I think the notebook will be easier to use and carry around.

I have a feeling I'll be springing for the hole punch in short order, but for not the notebook itself will be exciting enough.
