Document management software?
gaikokujinkyofusho | May 25 2006
Hi, I am trying to find some software for windows that will help with document management. I am looking for something like scansoft paperport, but alittle more full featured (tagging/categories, a more Spotlight/beagle/googledesktop like search, etc). Can anyone suggest some software that has some of these features? Cheers -Gaiko 3 Comments

What OS are you running? My first thought, esp. since you mentioned Google Desktop, is to use Google Desktop with some appropriate plug ins for PDFs, etc. As far as tagging and categories go ... I work on XP Pro and would give someone else's right arm (I need mine) for some viable tagging/smart folder options. Mac/Unix folks will have to weigh in for options in their shiny happy world. As for googledesktop I was hoping for a more all-in-one application, paperport is a start but only a start. Thank anyway, if anyone else knows of anything feel free to make suggestions! »
