Has anybody here gone from lofi (hPDA) to a Palm or any other PDA? If so, how was it? I know The Mann goes back and forth every now and then. 5 Comments

I always have a Mead marble memo book on hand as a capture device and I transfer the important stuff over to my PDA when I get the chance. My favorite thing about using this as a capture device is being able to remove pages that have been processed. »

I went from paper to Palm way back in 1996 and have recently recognised the futility of my actions and have migrated back to paper. I found the electronic tool to be best for serving as an address book, calculator and reference material storage system. I had too many stickies and folded sheets of paper stiffed in and wrapped around my Palm to do myself any good. So far, paper's not really working for me either, but I've got high hopes I'll figure out the best way for me to function (when you spend so much time putting out fires, how do you plan for projects and next actions?). Regards, Mike. »

I've tried a Palm and an iPaq, but I prefer paper (try saying that five times fast). I've had a couple of "data loss incidents" with them that were very discouraging. I also like that I can see "the big picture" more easily on paper. »
About Chrome47Bio Brad Blackman is an artist and graphic designer working in the Nashville, Tennessee area. His paintings portray the geometry and architecture of everyday things that are easily overlooked, things that are ordinary yet beautiful in their austerity, form, and function, such as highway overpasses, turn-of-the-century storefronts, and enormous steel letters from a bygone era. He lives in Nashville with his wife, Hope. In addition to painting and designing, Brad also runs the website Mysterious Flame, which discusses ways to maintain creative momentum. |
