Franklin Covey Index Card Holder

I was in my local Office Depot when I saw something I'd never seen on the shelf before. Franklin Covey makes an mine. Office Depot claims it holds only 10 cards, yet I have 40 or so in there and could hold maybe 10 more without problems. Has anyone else seen/used this? What do you think?

I wouldn't pay $50 like listed on the site. $15.00 is a great price though.

I'm using mine right now. I like it -- especially for the $15 price.

My micro-review:
+ good price
+ nice leather
+ many pockets (five places to store things)
+ space for business cards
+ much nicer looking than all the other low-cost alternatives to the Levenger stuff (I've looked at the Target, Buston, etc. models, and this one looks much more professional)

- pen holder is too narrow for my pens (it fits a Zebra Sarasa with some difficulty and doesn't close all that well with it in there)
- I think a Levenger pocket briefcase would have a thinner form factor (this doesn't fit in my shirt pocket very well at all)

If you've been interested in the International Pocket Briefcase, this is certainly worth a look. I am still tempted by the ballistic pocket briefcase though...

I love mine. Thin and out of the way.

Progress report?

Stew, how are you liking your index card holder? I bought one last week, and I'm actually using it as a wallet, as well as for index cards. (This way I'm not carrying a wallet and a separate index card jotter.) It's working fine for me so far, but it's only been a week...

I'm considering one of these, since I like the Levenger products, but not the Levenger price. So it might be a good compromise. Looks like I'll take a trip to Office Depot on my lunch break!

Where would they have it, though, at OD? Which aisle? I'm not sure what kind of aisle "index card holders" would go in.

At our OD, it is across the aisle from the traditional planners. It is on some shelves with other smaller task manager material.

Just got back from Office Max and Office Depot (and realized it's an Office Depot exclusive.) But the front of the thing said "Task List" something or other. I'm wondering if something got mislabeled at my Office Depot.

That's the one. It's a "task list wallet" or some such thing. It comes with a few Task List cards but I just threw them out. It looks so much like the Levenger International PB you'll do a double-take (and it's 1/3 the price).

Oh.

For some reason I was thinking it was more like the Levenger Rope thing, and didn't open all the way, but let you slide the cards in from the side.

Very cool. I'm actually very happy with the Levenger Intl pocket briefcase, but I wouldn't be less happy if I'd paid $15 for it.
