”What’s 43 Folders?”
43Folders.com is Merlin Mann’s website about finding the time and attention to do your best creative work.

New Forum: Post your Project here

Every week, I receive an encouraging number of requests to look at software ideas, implementation systems, whitepapers, and all manner of cool ideas for new projects around some of the ideas we discuss at 43F.

This "Projects" forum area is meant to be a place where you can present things you're working on, ask for comments and suggestions, and basically tap into the brilliant hive mind of 43 Folders' geek readership.

Got an idea for a GTD-based workflow? Want a critique of your application concept? Thinking of starting a site that might be helpful to 43F readers? Post your idea here, and let folks have a crack at it!

On an administrative note, I'd suggest using the Subject line of your new topic as a short explanation of your project. E.g.:

* iFoo - Mac app for tracking your foo
* The Bar Process - Whitepaper on my Bar process for foo and bat
* Example.com - Web app for helping users foo the bar
* Bat Bar - Need critique of my bat system for foo

So, have at it. Good-looking project ideas with lively response threads are likely to win links from the mothership.

Thanks and have fun!

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
