43Folders.com is Merlin Mann’s website about finding the time and attention to do your best creative work.

Eliminating 'Good' Work

I posted this to my blog recently, but I was wondering about what you all think about it.

I was on a GTD Connect teleseminar recently when the interviewee said that the key to doing "great" work was to reduce (through improving efficiency) the amount of time spent doing "good" work. (More detail here)

I've been pondering that one a lot lately, and I was wondering if anybody here has some stories about doing that effectively - is there a time when you can remember having a week or two of supreme effectiveness because you reduced the amount of "good" work that you were doing?

Cranking

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless
