aligning bookmark and rss tags

strange - been searching but no real hits on how to align tags. Here's the problem: I use Google Reader for rss and del.icio.us for those websites with no rss, i.e. just bookmarks. Like all web apps they use tagging to structure the content. But why should I care about maintaining two identical tag lists? It shouldn't be dependent on media type, i.e. dynamic (rss) vs. static (bookmark) content.
Even Google Bookmark doesn't synchronize its tags with their reader. I can't be the first thinking about this ... any suggestions? Is it because there are no real web services which combine rss and bookmarking into one app.?
thx
