Do you have a life list?

There's an interesting article at http://smithmag.net/2006/10/15/whats-on-your-list/ about a list of things we want to do before we die. Seems to fit somewhere in the realm of the someday/maybe but on a more personal and grand level.

Oh, lists... I need to visit India before I die. And write a book.

I haven't written mine down, but I crossed two things off this year: learn to use chopsticks and learn to drive a standard. My next two things are to pay off my credit card debt and then my student loans. After that, I can make a more detailed list.

I think this is the kind of thing folks are using 43things for. I have a list on there as well such as "learn croatian," "take my wife to alaska," and "record a CD of original songs."

Maybe this is incorrect in...

Maybe this is incorrect in the grand scheme of things, but I keep such life goals on my someday/maybe list. I try to review this weekly and decide whether my current circumstances would fit with starting one of these goals. Obviously, items such as "go on an Alaskan cruise" aren't possible overnight, but that doesn't mean there's not a next action I could do now.

Hmm, if I can't think...

Hmm, if I can't think of anything else I need/want to do before I die. That might not be a good thing though :)

I guess you're ready to die! ;)

The only thing I have...

The only thing I have that would really fit this is a 101-in-1001 list. Its actually quite poor because after about 6 months I can still only think up about 50 things to put on it :) That and the fact it doesnt appear to be working very well. Have been meaning to think about how to better capture and focus on these grand tasks recently actually.

I have no Life goals...

I have no Life goals really. It has started to worry me a bit.

I have goals I want to do this year, but nothing planned for after it (almost, see next paragraph).

I di start a 101 things in 1001 days in December, but changed it to 125 things in 1192 days (to take me to my 40th), but looked at the list last week and realised there was probably about 40 things on it that I really am not motivated to do and they are just there to make up the numbers.

I have managed to do 14 of the 85 things left on the list. I'll leave the list at 85, until I feel the need to add something else. Putting things on it for the sake of it doesn't work for me.

I did read all of this last week on the meaning of life.

I haven't had the time to sit down and do the exercises though.

I have sort of such...

I have sort of such list. At this time I put there all the places I want to visit before I die, because I have given an oath to myself to visit a new country each year. I also have a list of the qualities that I want to posses as a person and it is handy when you think you have lost the aim in your life.
