intro from Kenny - gtd newbie

My name is Kenny. I'm a sort of odd GTD newbie, I think. I've read the "Getting Things Done" book twice and started trying to keep better track of my projects - each project has its own folder. But I've kind of slacked off lately. Then I got a hold of a copy of "Getting Things Done - Fast" audio. It cleared up some things I didn't get when I read the book.

I'm running into some issues because I prefer planning on paper so I don't have to be in front of a computer to do my thinking. But a LOT of my stuff is already in the computer (bookmarks, emails, programming projects, etc) so I tend to want to organize everything there.

Current setup: Levenger Circa notebook + forms printed off from diyplanner for my planner. Journler on my Mac for organizing electronic resources. Gmail for email.

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
