How to redirect synonym pages to preferred term in Drupal?

Following up on my earlier comment: I’ve added a number of popular synonyms for the most used taxonomy terms on 43 Folders. For example “OS X” and “Leopard” are synonyms for my preferred “Mac OS X” term. Is there a Drupal module or the like that can redirect taxonomy pages for synonyms to the page of the preferred term? E.G., I’d love for visits to “ My thinking is that if a contributor enters “OS X” as a term for a new node, it would still show up by “Posted In:” as “OS X” — but clicking the term’s link would take the visitor to the “ {mostly x-posted from a Drupal.org post in hopes of tapping the Drupalicious 43f hive mind} 1 Comment

Hey, Merlin. I found a patch for Drupal 6 that sort of does what you are thinking about, but I think the fastest way from here to there is the Path Redirect module. http://drupal.org/project/path_redirect Hopefully, someone else will have a better option. Jamie » POSTED IN:
