Share the Love at the Office: GTD MeetUps

I'm currently trying to organize a weekly meeting for GTD users in my office.

I have tentatively called these Monday Lunches "The Weekly Review".

That so far is an area that I have a hard time with. Doing the actual review.

So I figured that having a set time with other people around (think: support group) would encourage me to do my weekly review and also have a time to share with other people how I'm Getting Things Done and learn them them as well.

That's a great idea -- peer pressure at its most useful! Now I just need to get some people in my small office to drink the GTD Kool-Aid or develop a richer imaginary life.

I tried to get my boss into it, even lent him the book, but he dismissed it as "just another self-help book." We've developed a system that works for us, though. He knows what a tickler file is and everything, did that at one of his old jobs, but he already has a pretty good grasp on things.

I got into GTD because I the CEO at my old job was pretty big into. He's President and CEO now, so he doesn't have time to maintain his blog as much as he used to: http://www.michaelhyatt.com/workingsmart/

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
