What does everyone do for a living

What does everyone do for a living? Just curious. Want to see if I can relate to anyone and how GTD plays out in their work.

I am a manager for a restaurant.

my world? films & books

I recently changed careers. I now lecture on film at different venues, each covering different themes. I also write reviews of books and DVDs. Nice work if you can get it. Although I've fallen off the GtD wagon these last few weeks, the tools I'd instituted meant no missed deadlines (although a couple of all-nighters.) I'm combining two work spaces but I've been able to find the essential reference material for my lectures, follow up promotional contacts and billing reminders surprisingly quickly. The "in-box" process really made a difference. My weak point is NAs, especially now that new opportunities are popping up. Being self-employed, I get hung up with choosing the "right" one. I seem to do Daily as compared to Weekly Reviews since the landscape keeps changing. Love this group.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
