The ultimate Quicksilver Thread

Let's make this the The ultimate Quicksilver Thread. But I really think a own Category would suit our needs alittle bit better. Merlin? Is this Board supporting Subcategories?

Let's start with Websearches through QS: I don't get why i have to select the search action before I can use the variable input field? It's just confusing. My Question is: how can I arrange the various search Targets like I can arrange e.g. the Mail actions?

TOPICS: Mac OS X

creating a new text file

1. invoke qs
2. hit '.' to get to the text input mode
3. type whatever you want as the first line of your text document
4. hit tab
5. type 'cr' for create file
6. hit return

that will open up a save dialog where you can choose your folder and type in a title for the name of your file. for some reason it does not have the text your previously entered as default (you can copy the text above before you tab to hit 'cr', then just paste it. then hit return again to save the new document and qs should invoke itself with you new document in the window and open as the default action, so hitting return will open your new doc.

you have to have text input and all that jazz enabled as described above.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
