”What’s 43 Folders?”
43Folders.com is Merlin Mann’s website about finding the time and attention to do your best creative work.

Howdy Folks!

I am new to the board and new to the GTD system...I stumbled across it while browsing Flicker

This system immediately made sense to me since I have been using index cards for years, while my palm has been gathering dust in a drawer.

I recently finished my Master's degree in Educational Technology and I currently teach computer skills to teachers and elementary school age students. Fun job! But I am looking to upgrade in the near future.

The hipster approach works great for me since we only use Windows at work (although I have subversively kept and brought in a few Macs for doing video production) and I am a Mac user at home.

I have just started going through my giant backlog of stuff: bought a really decent 5 drawer file cabinet and a labeler. Have gone through one tape of labels and many many file folders as I process. I am looking forward to big time results, which I intuitively know will happen as soon as I clear out my psychic ram!

OK...enough about me.
Happy GTG-ing, all.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
