How are you using your Moleskine?

I was inspired by patrickrhone's suggestions on using a moleskine for a capturing device. I bought one, figuring I would use it - but at the same time I discovered the essence of HipsterPDA (I'm very, very new to GTD, have not even finished the book yet).

So I have my Moleskine, with some index cards in the back. Yet I find I am only using the index cards, capturing what needs to be captured, and tossing them in my physical inbox.

So what are you using your Moleskine's for? Todo lists?

Just need some input and advice. Thanks!

I got one of the new 2007 red pocket weeklies from Moleskine, and it has that days-on-the-left, notes-on-the-right format. I think I'll like that format, and I'm looking forward to the new year so I can start using it. How has it worked out for you?

I love it! It's got just enough room for all my appointments and I love having the page for notes. I would have liked a red one though...

BTW, the pocket-sized Moleskine accordian file thingy doesn't fit 3"x5" index cards very well. It fits a few, but not enough for me. I like my Mead Five Star index card holder better. It's durable and it fits a lot of cards. I got it at the drugstore for a couple of bucks. It's basically a plastic folder with four plastic sleeves inside, spiral bound on a metal spring. It expands well, and has the elastic band that goes around it like a Moleskine. Works great!
