How are you using your Moleskine?
jcisco | Sep 27 2006
I was inspired by patrickrhone's suggestions on using a moleskine for a capturing device. I bought one, figuring I would use it - but at the same time I discovered the essence of HipsterPDA (I'm very, very new to GTD, have not even finished the book yet). So I have my Moleskine, with some index cards in the back. Yet I find I am only using the index cards, capturing what needs to be captured, and tossing them in my physical inbox. So what are you using your Moleskine's for? Todo lists? Just need some input and advice. Thanks! 29 Comments

I use a blank pocket Moleskine. I find it a real pain to write on the left-hand side so I ended up using the front of the Moleskine (right side only) for collecting stuff and using the back (flipped over so I am writing on the right again) as a day-per-page calendar that I write out myself. My actions are on blank index cards that live in the pocket. I dont like writing on the left either but I use it for "go back" notes. Very often I've entered notes while at a customer's site (I'm an IT consultant) but later on I find I need to "go back" and add some notes. I use the left side to capture those notes. I also have some post-its in the back which I'll sometimes overlay my original notes with. I save those for important stuff I'm pretty sure I'll need again later as the post-it makes it easy to find again. » POSTED IN:
