How are you using your Moleskine?

I was inspired by patrickrhone's suggestions on using a moleskine for a capturing device. I bought one, figuring I would use it - but at the same time I discovered the essence of HipsterPDA (I'm very, very new to GTD, have not even finished the book yet).

So I have my Moleskine, with some index cards in the back. Yet I find I am only using the index cards, capturing what needs to be captured, and tossing them in my physical inbox.

So what are you using your Moleskine's for? Todo lists?

Just need some input and advice. Thanks!

I have keep one of...

I have keep one of the ~ 5x8 journals with me most of the time and I use it to do project planning, and collection stuff. I also transcribe lists for errands and other reference materials for when I'm away from the computer. It's my first, and it has probably taken me about 9 months to almost fill.

To replace it, I got a similarly sized unlined reporter variant, and I'm probably going to start using it for similar sorts of things in the near future.

My only real convention is that new items get a new page, so that that things are easier to find...

This is basically the same way that I've used notebooks for years, and I think it works, and I rather like it.

Cheers,
Sam
