My PHP-based task tracker

I thought I'd post this for the hell of it. This is a chart/task tracking app I wrote for myself a long time ago that I used when I was doing more independent study stuff for school: You can log in with demo/demo Do you think I should nicify/ajaxify it and make it public with a new name? Is this of any use to anybody? The one feature I can think of that might make it useful is the ability to share parts of one's chart with other people. 2 Comments

Yeah, that's the idea. With the regular high school courses I was used to, teachers basically string you along, giving a part of a lesson or some trivial busywork every day that was usually due the next. So when I started doing all independent study courses, I figured to make it so I don't slack, I would give myself a portion of the lesson or a task to do every day. And I'd log in from wherever I was working (usually going to the library) and fill in a star when I got something in. Seemed to work well. But now my view of work has changed. Instead of just the daily trickle of work to finish and then having the "I'm all done! hooray!" feeling, there's more an infinite pile of work that I can only accomplish a portion of every day. So instead of an "I'm done for today!" feeling, I meter my time spent on work and have a "Well, I've worked for 5 hours tonight on schoolwork...I can sleep sound knowing I'm not slacking" I think I might switch back to danChart though, now that I think about it. It's way better for stuff that's important but not due the next day or whatever. » POSTED IN:
