Backup via rsync routine details, pls.

In MacBreak Weekly 73, Merlin quickly mentioned an rsync-based routine that he uses that is proscribed by someone named “JWC”.

Could Merlin (or anyone) please provide details? I’m always looking for a better way to skin the backup cat.

Jamie Zawinski (jwz) probably has what you’re looking for at this page – and it’s relatively funny from a “guy who’s tired of people whining about how they don’t have the facilities to do backups properly” perspective:
