notesRememble.com helps to prune memorable stuffNina Gritzke | Feb 6 2008I started to use rememble.com to create an inspiring memory of stuff and ideas. The problem was that I had too much stuff at my home which I didn’t need any more, but found interesting or worth keeping, because it reminded me on great things in the past. To get rid of this stuff around me, I put it into an unorganised big box which grew and grew and in which I didn’t look at anymore, but also didn’t want to throw away. read more » POSTED IN:
Tagging Text in a Document (OS X)J | Feb 4 2008I am looking for a method to tag portions of text in a MS word document. I am a law student, and I do a copicious amount of research and note taking. While I have a format to most of my notes and outlines, it would be a boon if I could tag sections of notes within the document. Thus I could later search for not only a keyword but a topic. This would help ID aspects of the topic that are not best expressed in the the major point heading. If an example helps please see my post at macworld forums: http://forums.macworld.com/thread/98042?tstart=0 read more » POSTED IN:
Newbie working with plain text: best practices for formatting etc?Matthew Chagnon | Jan 22 2008Hey all, I’ve searched far and wide online and am really surprised not to find very much info on this (perhaps I’m using the wrong search terms!). Unfortunately, years of reading 43F has enhanced my fiddly nature, and I’m more focused on trying to format my notes “correctly,” or at least to have some sort of standard to stick to. read more » POSTED IN:

Organizing ideas and sketches for artistsSidney Bussell | Sep 28 2007I am an illustrator who does storyboards for advertising and I am trying to make my self teaching more rational and to the point. The outcome I’m after is that I’ll have the ability to keep my train of thought recorded using words as well as my sketches so that when work sporadically comes in and interrupts my explorations I wont come back two weeks later with only the memory of something exciting I was doing but can’t quite remember what it was. read more » POSTED IN:
