I am searching for an app to help me do this. Ideal Criteria: OS X Must include tagging I would like to add captions/notes to accompany media files Searchable Linkable (internally) Exportable Easy capture/input of media Any and all help is appreciated. Add tags to gmail using del.icio.us e.g.Balthasar Glättli | Mar 19 2008Using gmail I always missed a decent tagging feature. The labels provided are fine to mark general categories, e.g. @home, @work or @@waiting_for If you are not working on more then a dozen projects you might use labels as well to sort your mails into projects. But when it comes to more granular tagging, labels definitely are no longer a solution. read more » POSTED IN:
Del.icio.us Tag Management?Chage | Feb 20 2008Right now I have a heaps of tags in del.icio.us where this is only 1 item associated with the tag. Do people actually try to minimise this? if so, do you have your own tagging standards? or do you just leave them alone and not worry about it? Cheers POSTED IN:
Tagging Text in a Document (OS X)J | Feb 4 2008I am looking for a method to tag portions of text in a MS word document. I am a law student, and I do a copicious amount of research and note taking. While I have a format to most of my notes and outlines, it would be a boon if I could tag sections of notes within the document. Thus I could later search for not only a keyword but a topic. This would help ID aspects of the topic that are not best expressed in the the major point heading. If an example helps please see my post at macworld forums: http://forums.macworld.com/thread/98042?tstart=0 read more » POSTED IN:
Finally... a Finder replacement even I can love!Todd Russell | Oct 18 2007http://www.ironicsoftware.com/leap/index.html Wow… trust me, just stop what you are doing, download the Leap Beta and spend 15 minutes playing around. Not sure what the performance will be on older machines, but it works great on the MBP 2.2GHz with 2GB of RAM. With apps like this, Leopard’s new Finder seems less necessary than it did before. Tagging, a better Get Info that shows all metadata, Spotlight integration, great options in the right-click menu, etc…. Enjoy! Peace, Todd Russell http://groovechickenstudios.com POSTED IN:
