We've started a new feature over on MacBreak Weekly that I really hope becomes a regular thing: "_Mac Whines_!" Yeah, sure, I'm an unapologetic Apple fanboy (I, mean duh), but some stuff about my Mac experience makes me crazy. Have you got a beef with your Mac or OS X you want to shout from the shiny counter of the "Genius" Bar? Yeah, me too. I'll open with:

DEAR ALL: Nearly every single one of your gripes (yes, yours!), excepting most of the iCal ones, has an easy fix. All the answers to your gripes. Seriously, you can enable cut and paste in the Finder, it's just a hidden preference. Yes, App X can almost certainly do Y - try holding the option key. Also, you could try using the tools that are supposed to do the job you expect (If you want to drag a file to a specific app window, try dragging it and using Command-Tab / Command-` / Expose -- that's how you're supposed to do it.) You guys are petulant whiners about mostly solved problems. » POSTED IN:
