Quicksilver: Current selection > Move to... does not remove from desktop.

Hi there!

Since I've seen Merlin's "undistracted mac" episode, I've been trying to keep my desktop empty as much as possible. I do, however, download stuff to the desktop: it's easy to access and forces me put things where they belong, instead of having them linger in some hidden away download folder.

To put things away, I've been trying to use the "Move to..." action in Quicksilver. However, while the action does copy the files to the designated place, it doesn't remove them from the desktop. When I try it from anywhere in the finder, it works like a charm.
Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be some permissions issue, or something?

Yours,
Andra

I replied earlier, but apparently...

I replied earlier, but apparently it didn't stick.

I'm running the same version. I have Quicksilver update on launch, in the background, without asking. I love that option!

Hazel seems like a nifty tool, but it kind of defeats my purpose. I need to clean out my desktop myself, so that I am reminded of what I have downloaded. A bit like an ad hoc Inbox, so to speak. (No I haven't taken the GTD-plunge yet, but I've read the book and I'm implementing little bits and pieces so far.)

Meanwhile, I've noticed something else. I've got an HFS+ partition and a Fat32 partition (for use with bootcamp). Everything seems to work fine, unless I try to move something either to or from a folder on the Fat32 partition. Moving to and from the root of the Fat32 partition, seems to be working fine.

Did I just find a bug? Should I report this?

Yours,
Andra
