Fix or prevention for leaky Pilot G2?

Let me start by saying the leak hasn't ruined any jeans or anything like that. But I bought some Pilot G2 .05 pens and I really like them, but this is the second one that has begun to leak ink around the tip. I read on moleskinerie that it is caused by the retractor, but I don't really see how or why. Anyone have any experience with this?
