New Index Card Templates

I've been using the DIY Planner hpda templates for some time, but I've always found them a bit too restrictive (ie - having to rewrite someday/maybes when promoting them to projects, etc). I liked the idea of plain white index cards, but missed some of the structure the templates provided. So I made new templates, very simple, that can be used for anything: collection, actions, projects, somedays, meeting notes. They are similar to Levenger's Flickr is back up and running. Feel free to use them for yourself.

Are your templates going to...

Are your templates going to be made available? You could submit to http://www.diyplanner.com/templates/directory
I've started making som simple templates in openoffice so say I go to a training class and want something to take notes on I just print off a few and go. I started using graph paper years ago in college (electronic engineering so a lot of diagrams and math and such) and started having trouble finding good graph paper as everything I could buy had much to heavy thick dark gridlines so I started playing with printing blank spreadsheets and tables to get grids, now I can make something like those levengers but with a notes colum and a graph section etc.

In my opinion part of...

In my opinion part of the reason I retain better control over projects is because I re-write them.

But obviously YMMV.

Stew, did you ever post pics of your new hPDA cards?

Unfortunately, no. I stopped using them a few months ago when I switched my project planning to a circa notebook. I'm now using standard vertically-lined cards for capture and lists. I'll see if I can't find the templates again and I'll post them.

I've doawloaded the openoffice kit from the dyi planner web site and am trying to take those widgets and turn them into styles and headers/footers for OO so I can make things any size I want and everything will look ok.

Okay, I've got them online...

Okay, I've got them online now. I've posted the pdf on my here. It is meant to be printed on a double-sided index card. On the front there are places for created date, start date and finish date, as well as title, card number, and a modified Cornell notes layout. The reverse has places for notes/sources, and associated contacts. Hope this helps! Let me know what you think. It's my first attempt at a card layout.

I thought I'd replied to this -- evidently not!

Stew, I like what you did with them. I think having the three different dates on them is interesting and often useful.

I'm not familiar with Cornell notes, though.
