'Whats the Next Action?' my new Mantra!

Well I was only 3/4 of the way through the book,and I was trying to implement GTD in my life... Sounds like a few people do it this way... But on Thursday I was looking at my Next Actionables and thought " what's the difference between this and a glorified To Do List?".... But that's when I read to the section that revealed my NEW mantra:

[="4"]"What's the Next Action?"[/]

Using that question in determining my next actions is the "lightbulb switching on" for me... Now I get it! I am able to really determine what my next actions will be, many entries on my list were not really Actionable... Now they are! To think this is introduce near the END of the book! Should have been in the begining. :)

I mean that line should be on a T shirt, not "mind like water"!:)

Yeah, but ina way this is like connecting the circle: Because you have a mind like water, you are ready to anything and can freely ask: What's... ?

I hope to get there. I finished chapter 7 and just completed my first huge "organizing" step. Tired as crap. LOL. I'm so pumped to know where everything else and confident that everything is on my task list, but I'm wondering if I wasted all this time putting everything in to Entourage when kGTD might make more sense. I have OOP, but I really don't like iCal at all. I love that Entourage has the calendar, mail, and tasks built in to the same app (1 app open instead of 2!). So, I switched to Entourage having been drawn to the Projects tool. Right now I'm just confused and hoping that the next few chapters will clear some things up for me. Meanwhile, my work week is here and I need to actually GTD.

BTW, I am a self-employed talent booker. So, my home is my office is my home is my office...:D
