ISO Merlin's GTD implementation

Hi, all. I just discovered GTD and 43folders a week or two ago, and just finished reading Allen's "GTD".

While reading 43folders pages I've come across references to Merlin's implementation of GTD (e.g. in Getting started with "Getting Things Done"), but I have not been able to find a full description of this implementation. Is it available?

Thanks in advance!

Also interested

I'd also be interested in this.

Merlin has posted several things about his system, but they are spread-out and not included in one post.

It would certainly be nice to have an updated blog post where Merlin goes over his entire system -- would certainly help newbies to GTD (myself included)

I bet there are a lot of very interesting details in Merlin's system that could be of use to both veterans and beginners. Things that he takes for granted that would be huge revelations to others. Things he does that he doesn't even realize are important. That's the trick about writing out something that is created organically over time. There is usually a lot you are doing that you don't realize you picked up until you try to put it all out for someone else to understand.

So Merlin, if you do find time to do this, please include as much detail as possible. Even if you think it is a trivial detail, to someone else it isn't. And don't sell us the "Humble" routine that your system isn't a model and if we all knew just how bad it was we would stop reading your site. I come here because your information and insights are helpful to me. Even if you feel your system is flawed, please share it so we can grow from your experience.

I second this motion (or...

I second this motion (or fourth it as the case may be). I keep finding different people with different systems and as I'm still in that n00b stage of learning the concepts and setups for GTD it would be nice to see how somebody who's been using it for a couple years has refined his system.

I ditto this notion. ...

I ditto this notion. This site was the original inspiration for my getting involved in GTD and I have found extremely useful. I am currently in the process of retiring my Palm from active duty (the last battery failure was the last straw in an increasing large list), replacing it with a series of Moleskine and hPDA. I'd be very curious to see how he puts his whole system together.

Does Merlin Mann read this site at all?

This thread is 4 months old, and several other members have seconded the original request. Yet Merlin has not replied at all. Not even to say "sorry, can't do it"... Hmmm....

Edit: the title should have been "Does Merlin Mann read this forum at all?"

While it may not be...

While it may not be his entire implementation... this does go into some detail on his lists anyway.
