Text to Speech to MP3 in OS X, Listen to my text books
Kolby | Nov 6 2007
I have recently fallen in love with the concept of audiobooks, i’ve “read” more books in the last 8 weeks than i have in the last 3 years. I would like to merge this concept to the academic slice of my life. All of my text books came with digital equivalents, and I would like to turn these into mp3’s that I can listen to on my iPod. Does anyone have a good work flow or just a simple program that can accomplish this? Thanks, Wanna Be GTD College Kid 2 Comments

Not sure if these are Leopard-only actions at any step, but… 1) Ask for Finder items 2) Extract PDF text 3) Text to Audio File 4) There is no step four. HTH »
Speak It on My iPod script hereSubmitted by Todd V on November 8, 2007 - 1:02pm.
You can download the Speak It On My iPod script I designed. You can select the Automator action to select the voice you want. It sure helped me get through my comprehensive exams. Enjoy! »
