Tool send email requests for address updates?
Esmaeil Khaksari | Feb 9 2008
I’m am trying hard to keep my address book up-to-date, and it becomes a more difficult tast as the number of entries grows rapidly. What would be tremendously helpful is a utility, script, or else, that would email each of the people in my address book and say: “[Premade message from user]. I have your information as such [auto-fill from address book] is this still current? If not please let me know. That’s it, I’m happy to make sure to do the data entry as email replies come back. Thanks in advance, and please let me know if I’m being at all unclear. Address Book 4.1, OSX 10.5.1 POSTED IN:

Plaxo
Keep your address book in Plaxo, which allows you to send such messages if you like. In addition, if people you know are on Plaxo, you get automatically notified when they change their own information.
Plaxo also has the added benefit of allowing you to synchronize your contacts on multiple computers, since the “main” copy is kept online.
hacky solution...
This is not an optimal solution (it’s more Plaxo-like then I’d like ;-) ), but you could use the “
File > Send Updates...” menu to send your updated info to others, while enclosing a note asking them to send their updated coordinates back to you.Fortunately, that’s a relatively sharp tool, in that you can send just to individual groups
