The Tennessee Grill makes the best chargrilled burger in the ‘hood, but I’ve often had trouble phoning-in my lo-carb mods over the busy restaurant’s background noise. At their encouragement, I printed out the exact makings of the burger, including a big empty line where they could write in the price (a very reasonable $5.50). They thought it was a stitch, so they put it up it by the cash register. 4 Comments

Brilliant!! I am a bit of a picky orderer, and I have countless problems at various restaurants — why just today, I had problems at two different places! Though, in my case, the problems originate in the calibre of the staff, and not in the background noise. I think I’ll follow suit and make up some similar cards. »

Too funny! I find myself mostly eating either at Quizno’s (low-carb wraps) or at a local restaurant that has low-carb bread (I usually order a burger). Also, every employee at the local Second Cup (Canadian coffee/espresso chain) has my coffee drink (iced latte with sugar-free syrup and heavy cream) memorized. Sometimes they have it ready before I get to the counter. As long as I get my burgers and lattes, I’m happy! 31 lbs and counting… »
